Ceaiul verde (Camellia sinesi, Epigallocatechin Gallate [EGCG]) este originar din China si se crede ca este folosit de mii de ani.
Ceaiul verde contine multi antioxidanti polifenolici si este folosit pe intreaga planeta. Ceaiul verde a fost folosit cu succes pentru a pierde din greutate, din cauza abilitatii sale de a promova arderea rapida a grasimilor.
Ceaiul Verde este o susbtanta remarcabila si este folosit de catre corp in multe moduri.
Este folosit de corp pentru a dezvolta flora benefica intestinala si pentru a o reduce pe cea daunatoare.
Ceaiul verde este folosit pentru a proteja pielea de radiatiile UV, si pentru a proteja corpul impotriva multor cancere: stomac, ovarian, colon, oral, prostata, sani si cervical.
S-a demonstrat stiintific ca ridica nivelul antioxidantilor din corp dintr-o singura doza in mod remarcabil ajutand la pastrarea colesterolului bun in corp, la incurajarea distrugerii de celule canceroase si chiar la prevenirea cariilor.

Continutul mare de cofeina ajuta la ridicarea temperaturii corpului, ce duce la termogeneza si eliberarea acizilor grasi din stratul adipos.
